'Arrow' season 4 episode 8 spoilers: Malcolm mediates between Oliver/Barry, Vandal Savage

The second part of "The Flash" and "Arrow" crossover will take place in "Arrow" season 4 episode 8, with Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Barry (Grant Gustin) continuing their quest to take down Vandal (Casper Crump). This time, though, a mediator will attempt to open the communication lines between the two parties, but he is not someone the heroes could really trust.

In "Legends of Yesterday," CarterMatt reports that Malcolm (John Barrowman), the new Ra's al Ghul and leader of the League of Assassins, will set up a meeting to talk things out, but it will reportedly go awry. Vandal's intention to get Kendra (Ciara RenĂ©e) has not wane, which will force Team Flash and Team Arrow to hide her on a secluded location. They will entrust her to Carter (Falk Hentschel) aka Hawkman. This will also give them time to think of the best approach to defeat the villain. Will they be able to keep her safe?

While Vandal is off hunting his prey, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), Thea (Willa Holland), Diggle (David Ramsey), and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) will coordinate their battle tactics with Team Flash. Defeating Vandal is no easy task and they need to come up with a potent weapon to finish him once and for all. The villain is an immortal, after having been exposed to a meteorite thousands of years ago. This made him so powerful he is able to defeat almost everyone who opposed him.

According to DC Wikia, Vandal's main goal is to conquer Earth. With his mastery of strategies and combat, he is considered a very dangerous and tough foe indeed. He was and still is a revered figure in the Religion of Crime and for centuries has manipulated and influenced major conflicts in the history of mankind. In the modern times, Vandal has fought with Justice Society of America, whom he considers his greatest adversaries.

The first part of the crossover will reportedly show Vandal as he arrives in Central City. When he targets Kendra, Barry has no option but to ask help from Oliver. Their next step is to hide her, but Hawkman appears and snatches her. The synopsis of the second part suggests that he means her no harm, and will even help in keeping her safe.

Meanwhile, Comicbook reports that viewers will get to see nine superheroes in the crossover as they work together to defeat Vandal. The promo photo already shows Black Canary, Green Arrow, Speedy, The Flash, Hawkman, and Diggle suited up and ready to fight. The website predicts that the other two helping in the fight will be The Atom and White Canary.

"Arrow" season 4 episode 8 will air on Dec. 2 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
