Team Arrow will face another loss in the season finale of "Arrow" season 4.

Executive producer Wendy Mericle told TVLine that the finale episode of season 4 will be very dark.

"It's a pretty grim one, I'm sad to say. We have a huge number of potential fatalities," Mericle said.

This means that viewers are in for another heartbreak after losing Laurel Lance/Black Canary (Katie Cassidy) in episode 18. Mericle also mentioned that the upcoming season 4 finale will also pave the way for the plot of season 5.

According to the synopsis for the season finale of "Arrow" season 4 titled "Schism," "Oliver (Stephen Amell) teams up with a surprising force in an attempt to stop Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) and his magic once and for all."

While there are no details yet regarding the identity of the person who will help Oliver in his quest to defeat the person responsible for killing the Black Canary, the synopsis implies that the Green Arrow is willing to do everything in order to stop Darkh from all his evil plans.

Meanwhile, during an interview with Larry King Now, lead star Stephen Amell shot down rumors that the Black Canary will be resurrected in the series.

However, he confessed that he knows exactly what the Black Canary told his character Oliver Queen before she took her last breath. "I do know what they were, but it's going to remain a secret because much like Greg [Berlanti] says, 'We like to surprise the viewers,'" Amell said.

Before the season 4 finale airs on Wednesday, May 25, Team Arrow will find out that Darkh is setting his eyes on Oliver's ex-fiancée, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), for his next attack in the upcoming episode called "Monument Point." This will lead Felicity to go to her father Noah Kuttler (guest star Tom Amandes) for help. The episode will air on Wednesday, May 11, on The CW.
