Is Vixen about to get her very own television series? Maybe not now, but how fans react to her one-time appearance in "Arrow" season might lead to greater things, like her very own show.

Vixen is not new to a starring role as the DC superhero had her own web series, "Vixen," that started airing on the CW Seed last Sept. 29. But she was in animated form.

When "Arrow" returns for the rest of its season 4 episodes, though, Vixen will come to life. Megalyn Echikunwoke, who voices the character in the series, will guest as the real-life version of Mari McCabe a.k.a. Vixen in episode 15 of the first Arrowverse show. The episode is yet to receive an official title and synopsis.

Executive producer for "Arrow" and "Vixen" Marc Guggenheim told TVInsider, "We're not only thrilled to be further expanding our DC television universe by bringing in the live-action incarnation of the CW Seed hit, 'Vixen,' we're immensely excited that Megalyn will be revisiting her role as Mari McCabe."

The CW web series ran for six episodes and had a running time of 4 to 7 minutes each. Other Arrowverse universe characters and actors also made an appearance to lend their support: Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and The Flash (Grant Gustin).

While those who read the comic books and watch the webisodes have a fair idea on who Vixen is, some fans might still be curious about her character. International Business Times has a quick round-up of must-know facts about the newest DC character to hit the small screen. She is originally from Africa and able to absorb any power that an animal posseses.

She is also the very first black woman to have her own comic series.
