A lot of fans were upset by the fact that they will not be able to see their favorite character, Green Arrow, on The CW until the week of the so-called "Invasion!" crossover, which will begin on Monday, Nov. 28.

The crossover night for "Arrow" will also air the celebratory 100th episode for the series, and as such there will be quite a number of guests, a lot of whom were last seen back in the first season of "Arrow."

According to iDigitalTimes, Oliver (played by Stephen Amell) will wake up in an alternate reality where the Queen's Gambit has never sunk. The implications of this is enormous, as that will mean that Oliver will never have been stuck on the purgatory of Lian Yu or became a member of the Russian Mafia.

As such, all of the things that ever happened in the flashbacks are suddenly ret-conned. With this, Oliver is still pretty quick to catch up and immediately realizes that something is definitely wrong, which gives him an ample chance of getting his much-needed closure with some of the most important people in his life.

Stephen Amell even went ahead and told TV Line in an interview that his character will have one of the most therapeutic moments near the end of the purported episode, where he will have the chance to say his farewell to the people he was not able to say goodbye to.

That statement is probably pertaining to Laurel Lance (played by Katy Cassidy), who was revealed to be Oliver's ultimate love right before she passed away back in the previous season.

This strange alternate life will certainly make him think about his legacy, and in the end he will choose to uphold Black Canary's morals as a vigilante who vows to fight for justice instead of revenge.

"Arrow" season 5 airs every Wednesday at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
