Laurel Lance, played by Katie Cassidy, was killed before "Arrow" season 4 ended but that doesn't mean the character is gone for good. As a matter of fact, a report from TVLine reveals that not only is she returning for "Arrow" season 5 but she will appear across all of the CW superhero shows such as "The Flash" and "Legends of Tomorrow."

According to the report, actor Stephen Amell, who plays Oliver Queen aka the Green Arrow, confirmed during the recent Sunday Nerd HQ panel that Laurel's dying words will be revealed during the season 5 premiere and that it will affect every season that follows.

"It's something that's going to have a lasting impact not just in our season premiere, but over the next couple seasons of the show," he explained. "It's very important. It's going to be critical to whatever the legacy of our show is."

The report points out that while Laurel will be back in "Arrow" season 5 either by being revived or just through flashbacks, she is likely going to be back on "The Flash" as Laurel's Earth-2 doppleganger, the villain known as Black Canary. Either of these iterations or maybe even one from Earth-3 might appear in "Legends of Tomorrow."

Cassidy is now the third to be listed as a series regular across the board. The first was Wentworth Miller, who plays Captain Cold in both "The Flash" and "Legends of Tomorrow" and this was followed by John Barrowman, who plays Malcolm Merlyn in "Arrow." Merlyn and Captain Cold will be regulars in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 as well as their respective original shows.

However, it is noted that while "Supergirl" season 2 is now on the CW network, Cassidy is not mentioned to be appearing on the show. This may change in the future when the stories of the multiple DC shows on the CW begin to interweave. 

"Arrow" season 5 premieres on Oct. 5.
