A lot of changes will happen to Team Arrow in "Arrow" season 5, after they successfully took down Damien Darhk at the end of the fourth season.

At the end of the season 4 finale, titled "Schism," the team decided to go their separate ways for varied personal reasons.

For police captain Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), he needed to take some time off with Felicity's mother Donna (Charlotte Ross) to process the death of his daughter Laurel (Katie Cassidy). John Diggle (David Ramsey), on the other hand, opted to re-enlist as he deals with his brother's death. Meanwhile, Oliver's half-sister Thea (Willa Holland) opted to take things easy as she begins to reevaluate her life after she got resurrected. This means that Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) will be the only ones left to protect Star City for possible evil threats.

But The CW seemed to have dropped some clues regarding the possibility of a reunion for Team Arrow in season, saying that "sinister players with a connection to Oliver's past will push the team to its breaking point, threatening everything Oliver's worked for and his legacy as the Green Arrow."

Meanwhile, Amell shared with Entertainment Weekly what he wants to see on the show when "Arrow" returns for season 5. According to the show's lead star, it would be nice to see the series return to its roots next season. He explained that the series began when Oliver Queen was still a powerless superhero who just transformed from a billionaire playboy into a crime-fighting nice guy.

But because the series had to help introduce some of the other superhero shows on the network, "Arrow" had to break away from the original concept where no superpowers were needed to help fight the lawless in Star City.

"We need to get back to focusing more on some of the core elements that used to define Arrow," the actor said.

The CW is expected to premiere "Arrow" season 5 sometime in October this year.
