One of the biggest shocks of "Arrow" season 4 was the sudden death of Laurel Lance aka the Black Canary (Katie Cassidy). However, in her final moments, the character whispered something to Oliver Queen aka the Green Arrow, and according to a report from Spoilers TV, those words will be revealed in the season 5 premiere.

According to a report, series executive producer Wendy Mericle explained in an interview with an exclusive Comic-Con magazine that Laurel's final words will be revealed in the premiere episode but it is also speculated that her message will continue driving the main plot arc of the show forward.

Screen Rant reports that fans will appreciate this as the show does have a habit of making audiences wait several episodes before reveal a key plot device. This was seen in past season when it took nearly half a season to showcase who Oliver Queen was grieving for at a cemetery. 

It is unknown at this point how Laurel's final words will propel the story of season 5 forward but it is speculated to be some sort of revelation or secret.

In the same magazine show creator Marc Guggenheim was asked if there was a chance that Laurel could appear as Black Canary in "Legends of Tomorrow" given that the show starred Laurel's sister, Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) and because it tackled time travel as key plot device. This might allow Laurel and Sara to appear together in the past.

However, Guggenheim shot this rumor down, stating that doing so would conflict with their current plans for the shows and for the character of Laurel, indicating that they are not yet done with the character. 

Fans also point out that there is a chance she may appear as a guest star in "The Flash" season 3 but as her Earth-2 counterpart, the villain known as Black Siren. 

"Arrow" season 5 will premiere this Oct. 5.
