As the cameras continue to roll for the movie adaptation of "Assassin's Creed," franchise content head Azaïzia Aymar from Ubisoft recently dropped new images to show off some of the weapons that will be used in the film.

After treating fans to a first look at the Abstergo Industries logo last month, Aymar recently shared several photos of the swords from the movie. One of the weapons bears the traditional cross of the Knight's Templar on its pommel, while the other one shows a sculpture of a bearded man.

According to reports, the bearded man on the sculptured pommel of the sword was confirmed by Aymar as Hugues de Payens, the co-founder and the very first Grand Master of the Knights Templar. He also posted a close-up photo of the highly detailed pommel for a clearer view of de Payens' image.

Inquistr recently reported that the soon-to-be-released "Assassin's Creed" movie will be based on the original plot of the video game. Since Ubisoft's long-running historical fiction action-adventure video game series comes with a very complicated storyline with different themes based on its nine major installments, using the original story of the video game could be a wise move from the movie producers to please the loyal fans of the game.

"Assassin's Creed" movie will star Michael Fassbender, who will portray dual lead roles aside from being one of the producers of the movie. One of his roles will be the 15th century Spanish Assassin brother named Aguilar, while the other one is the assassin of the contemporary era named Callum Lynch.

Fassbender will be joined by a stellar roster of co-stars, including Marion Cotillard, Michael K. Williams, Ariane Labed, as well as Jeremy Irons, who will portray the father of Cotillard's character, and Brendan Gleeson as the father of Callum Lynch.

The "Assassin's Creed" movie will be released on Dec. 21, 2016.
