A new patch update for the Ubisoft video game "Assassin's Creed Origins" has just been released, and has added a lot of major changes to the triple A title. The update adds a new quest to the already massive open-world game, but mostly adds support for the upcoming downloadable content (DLC) that is set to become available really soon. 

As listed down in the patch notes found in the official "Assassin's Creed Origins" forum, the majority of the update's size is due largely to accommodate the upcoming DLC titled "The Hidden Ones," which is dubbed as an expansion pack for the base game. This is to ensure that no complications plague any player when the DLC is up and running.

Although players will not yet be able to experience "The Hidden Ones," they can shift their attention to the new quest that was just added in update 1.2 titled "Incoming Threat." Another notable change is the updated items that can be found within the Heka Chests, which are inclusive of items from Nightmare, First Civilization, Gladiator, Wacky, and the Almighty Packs. These provide more opportunities for players to acquire themed and coveted in-game items. 

It is important to mention that the developers took the opportunity to improve the overall gameplay experience of "Assassin's Creed Origins" with update 1.2. For example, Atlas view was added on the World Map in order to clearly display the Valley of Kings and the Sinai regions of the world map. Now, players can sell their items to the Weaver shops, if they misclick or accidentally purchase an undesired item.

Players are also now able to toggle the visibility of their items stored in their inventory on the Gear menu to make it easier for them to distinguish which ones are actually useful for them. On top of that, other improvements were made to smoothen the transition between cutscenes and actual gameplay, as well as improve how the AI responds in the world of the game.
