Players of the open-world video game by Ubisoft, "Assassin's Creed Origins," will get additional content for the game by way of a New Game Plus option. This upcoming feature is meant to be available to those who have already finished most, if not, all of the base game's quests.

This news marks a milestone for the "Assassin's Creed" franchise, since a New Game plus option has never been available to any of the previous titles. The new feature is something that fans of "Assassin's Creed Origins" have been asking for after finishing the game, which is estimated to take over 100 hours to complete.

The announcement was made just recently, and the developers have not yet given a specific release date for the New Game Plus option. Fortunately, as seen on the official Ubisoft Reddit page for "Assassin's Creed," one of the administrators have confirmed that they release more information about the New Game Plus option very soon.

The New Game Plus option will allow players to carry over their character, Bayek, with the gear that they have previously obtained from their first run-through, as they embark on exploring ancient Egypt and all of the game's adventures once more.

It is rumored that the addition of the New Game Plus will come just after the release of the first expansion of "Assassin's Creed Origins," titled "The Hidden Ones" — which will grant players more missions, and possibly brand-new items and gear for them to discover.

Ubisoft will add the downloadable content options for the game along with the upcoming "Discovery Tour" and "Cruise of the Pharaohs," which will be available on Feb. 20 and March 6, respectively.

"Assassin's Creed Origins" is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
