Ubisoft has announced that the release of the highly anticipated expansion pack "Curse of the Pharaohs" for the popular action, historical title "Assassin's Creed Origins" has been delayed a week from its original debut outing.

The last DLC update to the acclaimed adventure game was initially scheduled for a release next week on March 6, however, the game publisher pushed the release back by a week to March 13.

Although Ubisoft delayed the update drop, it compensated the aggrieved fans by sharing a preview of the new DLC pack, which features new gameplay, action sequences, and extra juicy details.

The trailer also shows new lands to explore such as Thebes, the Karnak, the temples, and the Valley of the Kings past the Nile river.

In the new expansion pack, Bayek discovers a relic that ultimately leads him to locate the tomb of dead Pharaohs awoken by grave robbers stealing various artifacts inside their tombs. Bayek will be handed the task of retrieving these stolen items to halt the murderous undeads' killing spree.

As of the moment, Ubisoft has not confirmed any release dates for the next title in the "Assassin's Creed" series. Instead, it is focusing on developing new other DLCs for the current "Assassin's Creed Origins" title.

"Assassin's Creed Origins" was first released in 2015 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. Upon its release, it garnered praises from critics and players alike, due to its historically accurate, expansive terrain, and rich, comprehensive gameplay.

It is set in ancient Egypt and explores the fictitious events of actual historical incidents. The story features the conflict between the Brotherhood of Assassins and the Templar order and how it affects the ancient world.
