With the "Assassin's Creed Origins" getting another downloadable content (DLC) soon, it does not come as a surprise that the developers will be releasing a patch to bridge the game to it. Aside from that, patch 1.4.0 is also putting in a bunch of additions and other fixes that many players have been asking for it to be addressed.

There is not much known yet about exactly how they will introduce the latest "Curse of the Pharaohs" DLC. It was reported that Ubisoft "added support for the 'The Curse of the Pharaohs' expansion" but nothing else. It looks like it would not be as welcome as the previous DLC, "The Hidden Ones."

From a general overview, the update was designed to give an overall better experience for the game putting tweaks here and there. With Ubisoft recently releasing Discovery Tour mode, rewards are now being given to those who have completed all 75 guided tours. As to what that reward is, players will just have to play and finish it to find out.

On the issues the patch has fixed, it has removed bugs from three different quests. Players can now finish "All Eyes on Us" quest, "A Dream of Ashes" and "Lady of Slaughter," which all had different issues but were already fixed nonetheless.

There are also some fixes that are specific to the PC version of the game, which is generally in the game's settings not working properly. Thankfully, for those who need it, they have also "improved overall stability of the game application."

On the PC, the update will be 0.7 GB big on Steam and 3.2 GB on Uplay which may seem weird but nevertheless, they are sure to be doing the same kind of patches. Those on Uplay will just have to log in and the download will automatically initiate.
