'Assassin's Creed: Unity' patch 4 release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC delayed

Ubisoft

"Assassin's Creed: Unity" did not start as seamlessly as expected. There were tons of issues and bugs that infested the game, disappointing fans along the way. Since then, Ubisoft worked extra hard to take care of the issues and came up with several patches to improve the highly anticipated game. On Monday, the fourth patch was set to release across all platforms for an improved gaming experience.

Before the release, there were no updates regarding the content of the new patch for "Assassin's Creed: Unity." Unlike the first three patches, the Live Updates blog was surprisingly silent about the latest release. The only information mentioned about the patch 4 update was its capacity to get rid of the issues found on the game performance, online connectivity, stability, general fixes, matchmaking capabilities, as well as its overall improvements.

Another detail given about the patch is for those who will use the PC edition of the game using AMD video cards.  It is recommended that they install the latest drivers on the game to make sure that the performance of the patch works perfectly.

The official announcement by Ubisoft about the Patch 4 for "Assassin's Creed" was posted on the game's website, which reads:

We expect that Patch 4 will be released next week on Monday, December 15 across all platforms. This patch will address issues with stability and performance as well as online matchmaking and connectivity (among other fixes and improvements).

For optimal performance before and after the patch, PC players using AMD video cards should be sure to install the latest drivers."

Some of the expected issues that will be fixed in the upcoming patch include the sudden crashing of the game, its slow frame rate, as well as the unexpected freezing experienced by the players.

Most players who were earlier disappointed with the first release of "Assassin's Creed: Unity" are expecting that all the remaining issues will finally be removed in this latest patch was set for a Dec. 15 release.
