'Assassin's Creed Victory' release date set for December? Pre-order page already up

Details about the upcoming game "Assassin's Creed Victory" surfaced online, including its release date which is reportedly set in December.

Although Ubisoft has not offered a word of confirmation yet, Swedish retailer Webhallen already put up a pre-order page of the game with its details. The rumored release date is set on Dec. 31, a bit over a year after "Assassin's Creed Unity" was launched. "Unity" was released on Nov. 21, 2014.

Just like the current "Assassin's Creed" game, "Assassin's Creed Victory" will be made available to PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. Reports say that the sequel will surely be as good as the current title but with less bugs.

When "Assassin's Creed Unity" was released, it was plagued with issues. The developers rolled out a lot of patch updates in order to address the problems that impede gameplay. Moreover, the latest "Dead Kings" expansion pack was offered for free to appease gamers.

Still, "Assassin's Creed" is a popular title, and writer Darby McDevitta said that Ubisoft has plans to continue the game series for more than a decade. The developers reportedly have a myriad of ideas for the game sequels that will merge modern-day narrative with rich historical background.

"We always plan to have more modern day but we have to be really smart about how we do it. There was a plan for a little more modern day in Unity. A plan; nothing that was actually cut. The thing with Unity was that it was a completely fresh game on a completely fresh generation. So creating any kind of modern day is a pretty huge task. To create a city, for instance, or even part of a city, would require six months of work by many, many artists, designers, modellers. And then you'd need gameplay systems that didn't feel like you were just fencing," McDevitta told Cinemablend.
