'Assassin's Creed: Victory,' 'The Division', and 'Rainbow Six Siege': Ubisoft's new titles to launch in 2015
Similar to 2014, video game developing and publishing company Ubisoft plans to keep gamers of all platforms busy with the release of three of the most anticipated games that will be released later in the year. These games include:
- Assassin's Creed: Victory
- Rainbow Six Siege
- The Division
It is expected that the company will be releasing a total of five titles in 2015. Yves Guillemot, the company's CEO, said, "The strong install base should offer a nice tail-wind, and we expect software growth to come back."
The comment was being referred to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. Earlier in 2013, it was expected that "The Division" was only going to be available for Sony's and Microsoft's next generation consoles.
Ubisoft had stated that it will consider porting the title for the Microsoft Windows platform if it starts to see enthusiasm from PC gamers. Luckily enough for gamers, on Aug. 20, 2013, Ubisoft stated that it was going to release
"The Division" for the PC platform thanks to the result of the "vocal and passionate PC community."
As for "Assassin's Creed: Victory," the game's setting is going to be held during the Victorian England era, but the plot details have not been leaked. According to Guillemot, the upcoming title will be running on the same engine that "Assassin's Creed: Unity" was running on and although the latter was praised for its visuals, it was rife with technical issues.
However, the executive was quick to point out that the upcoming open world adventure title will not be plagued by the same issues since the upcoming title will go through intricate debugging stages. Developing the game on a completely new gaming engine was accompanied by copious number of problems for the developers which the executive states, have now been addressed.
"Rainbow Six Siege" will be considered the successor of Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6: Patriots, which was ultimately cancelled. Ubisoft will not be altering the gaming mechanics of this title and similar to its predecessors, "Rainbow Six Siege" will focus on teamplay and realism.
