ASUS ROG G501: New gaming laptop launched by ASUS

Following in the footsteps of tech brands such as Alienware, Acer, Razer, and MSI, ASUS has now announced their new gaming laptop. As a brand known for coming up with fast, slim, and top-notch devices, ASUS' new Republic of Gamers G501 gaming laptop doesn't disappoint. 

The new G501 features a 15.6-inch IPS matte display with a vivid 3840 x 2160 resolution, delivering sharp and detailed visuals. ASUS also touted the ROG G501 as one of the thinnest laptops in its class, with an ultra-slim profile of 0.81 inches. For its thinness, the gaming laptop is also one of the lightest, weighing only 4.54 pounds. The ROG G501 is encased in a thin aluminum shell with black and red trimmings. 

Under the hood, the new ASUS gaming laptop also packs quite a punch. It is powered by an Intel Core i7-4720 processor with a 2.6 GHz speed, and can still be overclocked at 3.6 GHz. With 16 GB of DDR3 memory, the laptop is compatible for both gaming and as a workhorse. Storage is at 512 GB PCIe x 4 SSD. For connectivity, users can utilize the Thunderbolt port, three USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI, and an SD card reader. The laptop also sports Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11ac Wi-FI connectivity. 

Cool and vivid visual is possible because the G501 is equipped with the newest Nvidia graphics card. The new ASUS G501 boasts the new Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M, which rocks 4 GB of GDDR5 VRAM. 

Incidentally, ASUS is also integrating Nvidia graphics to its GL551 and G751 series. The GL551JW will be having the GTX 960M while the G751JL will use the GTX 965M. 

For pricing and availability, the new ASUS G501 will be coming soon the U.S. and Canada and will be priced at around $1,999. International markets will be subject for availability soon.
