Asus to unveil new smartphone and smartwatch this September at IFA 2015

Tech giants such as Samsung Electronics, Sony, and Chinese company Huawei Technologies are expected to be present during next month's IFA 2015 event, which will take place in Berlin, Germany.

It has been revealed that Samsung is planning to unveil its latest smartwatch product called the Gear S2, while Huawei is rumored to unveil its latest Mate 7 phablet.

In addition, recent reports say Asus is now planning to join the others in unveiling a new smartphone and smartwatch product during the event's press conferences.

Recently, the Taiwanese company posted a new video on Facebook ahead of the IFA 2015; the video showed a brand new Asus monitor and smartphone product, according to a report by NDTV.

According to a report by Android Authority, it's unclear what smartphone Asus plans to unveil during the event. However, the Taiwanese company does plan to unveil its new Asus ZenWatch 2 smartwatch, according to one of the images posted on Facebook.

The Asus ZenWatch 2 was unveiled earlier this year during the Computex 2015 event, which took place in Taipei, Taiwan. In terms of the specifications, it has been revealed that the new watch will be available in two different sizes and three different colors.

There will be a 45 x 37 mm version available that comes with an 18 mm strap, according to earlier reports. The second model will come in a larger 45 x 41 mm body along with a 22 mm strap. The smartwatch will be available in gunmetal grey, silver, and rose gold colors.

Other strap materials such as metal, rubber, and leather will be available as well, according to an earlier report by Tech Radar. In addition, the ZenWatch 2 will not have a round screen but will come in a square design like its predecessor, the Asus ZenWatch. The report by Tech Radar added that the screen size could measure 1.63 inches and could have a resolution of 320 x 320.
