The Asus Zenfone 2 is now out and if you are in Taiwan, well you should be one of the lucky customers who can get their hands on it right now.

Originally pegged for a March 31 release, the Asus Zenfone 2 has been made available on its homeland starting last week. The basic 5-inch entry level phone is priced for about $158 and that incrementally goes up depending on the version of your choice.

Among the features that the Asus Zenfone 2 will start off with include 1.8 GHz Quad core processor, 2GB of RAM and a 13MP back camera. It will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop which can be upgraded to Android 5.1.

For folks who want to get models with higher specs, next in line is one that carries a 5.5-inch 1080 pixel display, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage which runs for about $285.

Now if those aren't enough, there is reportedly still another version set to come out, a 64GB version which will cost about $318. Based on early price ranges, the Asus Zenfone 2 looks to be a good buy.

However, this is if you are able to get your hands on it before it makes its global debut. Sadly, those initial prices mentioned above are expected to be jacked up once the Asus Zenfone 2 makes a global release, presumably by the end of the month.

The Asus Zenfone 2 is expected to first make its way to China, Hong Kong, Singapore and France this month. Starting April, the device is expected to make its debut in India, Italy and Southeast Asia. In June it is expected to be available over in Brazil.
