Contrary to the prevailing rumors that the Android Lollipop rollout to select Asus handsets will be delayed, Google's latest operating system is now making its way to the ZenFone 4, 5 and eventually 6, facilitating a complete Material Design makeover for the smartphones. 

Not too long ago, there were rumors that the Asus ZenFone 5 won't enjoy the sweet treat for three to four months, but the latest news means that more flavors of the 5-inch smartphone (version A500KL has the update onboard since April) are getting dressed up with Android 5.0 Lollipop. 

The ZenFone 5 variants with model number A500CG and A501CG will finally don the Material Design as well. The software version for these handsets is 3.23.40.52 and it rolls out over the air or via direct download, which can be done here. 

Meanwhile, users with the ZenFone A400CG are also expected to get Android Lollipop. That's version 7.3.3 for the handset that will also be available over the air or direct download. Meanwhile, the update for the Asus ZenFone 6 will only be through the direct download. There is no word about an OTA rollout yet. 

In other Android Lollipop news, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be able to update to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, the newest and possibly the final build of the operating system, by next month. The news came from the high-profile sources of Sam Mobile, which promised to share a video demo of the device once it gets a hold of the update. 

Another Samsung device, the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 from U.S. Cellular, is said to don Android 5.0.2 as well. Customers of the carrier rocking the tablet can expect to receive a notification pop-up prompting the update, which is always sent out over the air. 

Through the combined power of Google, carriers and manufacturers, Lollipop has reportedly now been pushed to 12.4 percent of Android devices.
