Eren and the gang will deal with quite possibly the largest Titan they will ever encounter in "Attack on Titan" season 2. This Titan is described to be much larger than the Colossal Titan.
[SPOILER ALERT! Details about the next season of the anime as well as the manga are stated below. Proceed only if you wish to know beforehand]
"Attack on Titan" season 2 is expected to depict the Uprising arc from the blockbuster manga by Hajime Isayama. Here, Historia is revealed to be the only surviving member of the Reiss family.
Her father Rod resurfaces after years of absence to convince her into becoming a Titan herself and save humanity by eating Eren, whose father killed the other members of the Reiss family and stole the Coordinate.
Rod said that if Historia were to inject the Titan serum, she would successfully bring back her sister Frieda, who she forgot because her memories were manipulated.
If "Attack on Titan" season 2 will follow the manga, Historia eventually chooses not to because like Frieda, she will be influenced by the King's ideology and erase memories of the others and be unable to stop Titans and achieve true peace.
This prompts Rod to make himself a Titan, and a dangerous and large one at that. He is described in the "Attack on Titan" manga as bigger than the Colossal Titan, which is already a behemoth of a beast.
If this story is to be followed in the anime, fans can also expect "Attack on Titan" season 2 to see Eren in Titan form (by using the "Armor" serum from Rod's stash), helping the others to stop Rod's Titan.
He is eventually stopped by the gang, with his own daughter making the last move to make sure her father is dead. After that, Historia declares herself queen.
That being said, not only will "Attack on Titan" season 2 promise an epic Titan battle, it will also see Historia become a stronger person as she embraces her royalty.
"Attack on Titan" season 2 is slated to premiere early next year.
