'Attack on Titan' season 2: Levi Ackerman dies? Identities of two titans revealed

"Attack on Titan" season 2 remains to be subject of rumors and speculations, the latest of which mention that the second season will feature more surprising plotlines.

Various reports indicate that one of the main emphases of season 2 is the rebellion. The characters in the series will rise against their corrupt king and the rebellion will be headed by Captain Erwin Smith.

Apart from the rebellion, the series is reported to kill one of the major characters, as previously reported. Speculations point to Levi Ackerman, being the important character who will say goodbye to the series.

Crossmap cited Manga Helpers user PIXISSUUU, who revealed that the upcoming chapter of the series, chapter 73, will dwell more on Levi's death. Prior to that, in chapter 72, Levi will try to be a hero to his new group composed of Eren Yeager, Armin Arlert, and Mikasa Ackerman before he dies in the following chapter.

"Attack on Titan" season 2 will reportedly reveal to fans the identity of the armored titan and the colossal titan. Reports only mentioned that the two titans are said to be close to Eren, but according to a spoiler page, the colossal titan is said to be Bertolt Hoover, while the armored titan is Reiner Braun.

Not only will the identities of two titans be revealed, but also the identities of Ymir and Krista Lenz.

Ymir is found out to be a titan who has been outside the wall for 60 years before she changed back to her human self after having devoured a human, Crossmap continued.

On the other hand, Krista is revealed to be the daughter of Rod Reiss and also the successor of the Coordinate, the power that allows a human to control a titan.

The news portal also reported that the next season will also deliver the story of the 104<sup>th Trainees Squad fighting against the monsters that have broken down Wall Rose.

The release date for "Attack on Titan" season 2 has yet to be confirmed, but the series is likely to return sometime in 2016.
