Unlike with the second season of the anime, fans will not have to wait a few years before getting the second game of "Attack on Titan," as the sequel to the first game will be coming next year.

Similar to the first game, gamers will, of course, be able to play Eren Jaeger in "Attack on Titan 2." As the trailers have suggested, it will be faithful to the anime, allowing the players to play similar scenes to the series. That said, gamers will see more faces in the game as it includes more than the main characters from the anime.

So far, there are the usual characters that people have already met either in the game or in the series. In addition to that, the game now allows players to use Hitch Dreyse, Marlo Freudenberg, Mina Carolina, Nile Dawk, Thomas Wagner, Annie Leonhar, Bertholdt Hoover, and Reinar Braunn. As for the titans, the Armored titan, Colossal titan, Female titan, and a mystery titan are all available to use, as per IGN.

Although following the scenes in the anime, developers Koei Tecmo added something new to the second game. Players can now create their own Scout unit. Koei Tecmo aims to have its gamers get "a fresh perspective on the events of both seasons of worldwide anime hit." That said, the second game may still include some story elements from the first game.

As for the scouts, players have the option to choose what kind of style they would use when approaching an enemy titan. When encountering a titan, they can prioritize evading them. If not, even before they travel, players can use a "monocular" which can spot enemy titans from afar. This would allow players to devise plans on how to attack them.

"Attack on Titan 2" is set to be released on March 20, 2018 on the PlayStation (PS) 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
