A new batch of information, artwork, and screenshots was just recently released by Koei Tecmo for its upcoming game, "Attack on Titan 2." New playable characters were also revealed, as well as new gameplay mechanics and actions.

Four new playable characters were added to the "Attack on Titan 2" roster, namely: Hange Zoe, Erwin Smith, Hannes, Ian Dietrich, Rico Brzenska, and Mitabi Jarnach. Avid players of the video game series may recognize Hange and Erwin, as they were part of the previous game's roster. Aside from them, all the rest of the characters were new additions to the game.

Hannes, Ian, Rico, and Mitabi were all part of the Garrison Regiment. In its Elite Squad, Ian Dietrich serves as their leader because of his capacity to deduce sound judgments and exceptional combat skills. Rico Brzenska is also a valuable member, fiercely loyal and can make cold-hearted decisions when the situation calls for it.

Mitabi Jarnach, although sometimes reprimanded for his foul mouth, is exceptionally responsible. He can be counted on any mission despite its difficulty, with his sense of responsibility second to none. Meanwhile, Hannes may be recognizable to anime fans, as he was the one who rescued Eren and Mikasa from the Colossal Titan who ate Eren's mother, Caria, in the beginning of "Attack on Titan" season 1.

In terms of gameplay mechanics, the new "Buddy Action" feature lets players support each other during battle. To activate this feature, players must look for an icon over the heads of their team members to make use of their unique skills. It cannot be used consistently, though. The "Buddy Action" must cool down before it can be used again.

Another new move is called the "Hook Drive," which players can use to deliver a powerful finishing blow by air jumping right before a Titan. Another is called a "Sneak Attack," which can be executed by utilizing the new telescope. To get the complete details of the update, click here.

"Attack on Titan 2" will get a worldwide release sometime in March 2018.
