Following the success of the hit anime series "Attack on Titan," fans have more to look forward to with the imminent release of "Attack on Titan 2," the second installment of the video game version of the franchise. Last Thursday, Koei Tecmo revealed the five new characters of the game, giving players a lot more choices when it comes to choosing a playable character.

Along with the previously announced playable characters which include Levi, Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, Miche Zacharias, Armin Arlert, Gelgar, Ymir, Nanaba, and Christa Lenz, they are now going to be joined by Gunter Shultz, Eld Gin, Moblit Berner, Petra Rall, and Oruo Bozad.

In a statement released by Koei Tecmo, they said: "Attack on Titan 2 delves deeply into the fascinating narrative of Attack on Titan's second season and offers players versatile action and new challenges, as it introduces the newly improved omni-directional mobility gear offering advanced freedom of movement and targeting precision to counter enhanced Titan movements."

"Attack on Titan 2 delves deeply into the fascinating narrative of Attack on Titan's second season and offers players versatile action and new challenges, as it introduces the newly improved omni-directional mobility gear offering advanced freedom of movement and targeting precision to counter enhanced Titan movements," the game publisher added.

The official website of Koei Tecmo holds the description of each new character in order for players to glean a little bit of background check. On the five new characters, four of them are members of the Scout Regiment's Special Operations Squad handpicked by Levi, namely: Eld Gin, Gunter Shultz, Oruo Bozad and Petra Rall. Moblit Berner, on the other hand, is a member of a Scout Regiment squad under Hange's leadership.

"Attack on Titan 2" will closely follow the events that transpired in the second season of the series, along with new gameplay mechanics such as a "Town Life segment," allowing players to interact more closely with other characters of the game. The game will also feature enhanced Titan movements, improved omni-directional mobility gear, and more advanced role-playing game elements.

"Attack on Titan 2" will see a worldwide release in March 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
