"Attack on Titan" season 2 is as big a mystery as it was last year when it was announced that it will be here some time in 2016. At this time, there remains no news about the hit anime's premiere but the lack of details hint it will take a while to arrive.

While there still seems to be a long way to go before the new season of the show begins, Hajime Isayama, creator of the mega-popular manga the show is based on, is already talking about the ending.

According to Yibada, the man behind "Attack on Titan" sat down for an interview with the Japanese publication Gekkan Shingeki no Kyojin, where he revealed that the "ultimate conclusion" lies in the hands of Ymir.

Isayama also teased that he initially wanted the key to this so-called ultimate conclusion to be on the shoulders of compulsive food hoarder Sasha Blouse, but he eventually decided against it and made an entirely new character for Ymir.

"Compared to other characters, Sasha's profile was the last one to be finalized. Her physical appearance details and her fundamental image were already planned at initial stage, but at that time her name was Ymir," he was quoted as saying by Yibada.

[Spoiler Alert!] This eye-opener easily makes it obvious about how Ymir has always been poised as mysterious and dark. In the first season of the "Attack on Titan," Ymir virtually had no role. This might be because the secret she holds is so huge it can set the course of the series to its final destination.

That being said, it is very likely for Ymir to step up to the plate in "Attack on Titan" season 2. The character is one of the few able to transform into Titans. This means that she could be the person who can reveal the origin of the killer giants.

"Attack on Titan" season 2 is set to premiere later this year.
