There's still hardly anything officially known about the second season of "Attack on Titan," but there are enough rumors present now to give fans an idea of what they can expect.

According to the rumors, two characters in particular will be dealing with tragic events in the second season of "Attack on Titan."

The first is Levi Ackerman. According to Movie News Guide, Levi Ackerman will most likely meet his untimely demise by season two, at least if the events of the manga that the show is based on are to be taken into account. If the events of the manga are indeed followed by the show, then Levi will most likely die as he attempts to protect Armin Arlert, Eren Yeager and also Mikasa Ackerman.

It hasn't been confirmed that Levi will indeed die in the second season of "Attack on Titan," so there is at least some hope remaining that he can stay in alive in the show.

Aside from the potentially tragic circumstances surrounding Levi, there are also rumors suggesting that season 2 could mean bad things for Commander Erwin Smith.

According to Latin Times, the esteemed Commander will be disfigured in the second season of "Attack on Titan" by way of his arm being removed from his body. It hasn't been clarified just how Smith ends up losing his arm, but it would most likely happen while he's in the middle of a battle.

It's also believed that because of this injury, Smith will soon voluntarily quit the squad engaging the Titans due to the fact that he now sees himself as someone who does more harm than good to the team.

Fans should also be on the lookout for a new Titan making an appearance on the show. Not much is currently known about the new gigantic character other than he apparently resembles an ape, but more details should emerge soon.
