'Attack on Titan' season 3 news, spoilers: The secret behind Eren's basement
The Japanese animated TV series "Attack on Titan" season 3 is one of the most awaited anime arriving next year. Fans are eagerly waiting for the upcoming season since the former season featured twelve episodes and only covered a few chapters. That being said, the forthcoming season will shed light on some secrets, particularly the ones left behind in Eren's basement.
Although there were many revelations in the latest season, there are still so many unanswered questions. This includes the Titan attack in the village of Connie wherein they spotted a Titan who looked like his mother. Fans might also get an explanation behind the actions of Reiner Braun and Bertholdt Hoover.
Fans are aware that the "Shingeki no Kyojin" manga is ahead of the anime. Because of this, its readers already have some hint of what might occur in season 3. On a side note, the story about the basement in Eren's old house was revealed in chapter 85 of the manga back in September 2016.
Eren went to his old home with Mikasa, Hange, Levi, and Armin. At first, they find the basement looking normal, but as they started searching, they discovered something strange. Mikasa saw an image of Grisha, Eren's father, posing with a fair-haired lady who has a child sitting on her lap. Grisha added a note at the back of the photo, revealing that it is called a photograph.
Apart from revealing that Grisha has another family, it also implied something about humanity. Grisha's note explained that he was born outside the Walls and that humanity exists beyond Paradis. He added that humanity did not go extinct because of the Titans and that the history of their country is actually false.
ComicBook reported that the producers did not reveal any confirmation that "Attack on Titan" season 3 will portray some of the scenes from the manga. However, if this is indeed featured in the anime, it will have a big impact on the characters including Levi.
"Attack on Titan" season 3 will be released in July 2018 and fans are hoping that the next season will add more episodes and epic scenes.
