A 600-horsepower Audi sedan would just be wishful thinking for many Americans, but that wish might come true sooner.

Audi confirmed that its new S8 Plus will be making its way to North America, AutoBlog reported. First launched in August, the more powerful German flagship will be introduced at the Los Angeles Auto Show, which will run from Nov. 17 to 19 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The Audi S8 Plus will be an improved version of the regular S8, a 520-horsepower full-sized sedan. With changes to its software and engine, the S8 Plus now rocks a 4.0-liter V-8 engine that boasts of 605 horsepower and pound-feet (lb-ft) of torque.

With this powerful engine, the transition from zero to 62 miles per hour (mph) was clocked in at 3.8 seconds. This puts the S8 Plus as a great rival against Jaguar XJR, Maserati Quattroporte, and the Mercedes-AMG S63, reports noted.

Those who like to experience an exhilarating ride but are hesitant to shell out a large sum of money might need to consider the S8 Plus, now that it's hitting the U.S. market.

The auto company has not revealed the pricing and final specs of the Audi S8 Plus for the U.S. market, but AutoBlog mentioned that the sedan is expected to be around $140K.

Audi's press release also stated that more information about S8 Plus' price and details should be provided "at a later date."

Meanwhile, the S8 Plus will hit the auto show together with the Audi RS7 Performance and 2017 (second generation) R8. The new RS7 Performance comes with several changes that highlight its meanness, remarkably distinguishing it from the RS7.

The RS7 Performance also packs more horsepower at 605, just like the S8 Plus. Meanwhile, the 2017 R8 is dubbed as the "fastest and most powerful Audi of all time," and is expected to be available in spring of 2016.
