Nothing says hardcore passion than watching the string of all the films from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a single session. AMC Theatres and Regal Entertainment plan to hit two birds with one stone in their upcoming Ultimate Marvel Marathon. They are bound to tolerate the mania and build bigger hype around the impending arrival of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" (not that the hype is not massive).

The event is the ultimate test of staying power and of fortitude, putting fans in front of the big screen for 27 hours to watch all things Marvel. This will allow die-hard fans to relive the action all the way back from 2008.

First up is the introduction of the antics of billionaire playboy philanthropist Tony Stark in "Iron Man." Next is Bruce Banner's big, green and angry alter ego smashing things once again in "The Incredible Hulk."

The third movie in the line-up is "Iron Man 2" to bring back viewers to the time Tony Stark was revealed to the world as the iron-clad superhero. This will then be followed by "Thor" where the son of Odin contends with menacing Frost Giants and his roguish brother Loki.

If participants are still alive after that, they can witness again the birth of the supersoldier Steve Rogers in "Captain America: The First Avenger." There is never going to be enough and fans have to be on the ball as the Earth's Mightiest Heroes first come together in "Marvel's The Avengers."

There is more of the wisecracking superhero in "Iron Man 3." The marathon will also take viewers back to Asgard in "Thor: The Dark World" and the Cap's throwdown against his best friend in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier." Lastly, the event will not forgo the gathering of the misfits into a ragtag squad of universe's saviors in "Guardians of the Galaxy."

After the exhausting run, partakers should be well on their toes for the life of the party, "Avengers: Age of Ultron." Those interested are to shell out $65 and should very well steel themselves for the fated day — April 29 at 6 p.m.

Participating theaters include AMC Festival Plaza 16, Regal Trussville Stadium 16, Regal Hollywood Stadium 18 – Huntsville, and Regal Mobile Stadium 18.
