Now that "Thor: Ragnarok" is in the rearview mirror, all eyes are on Marvel's next slate of films, "Black Panther" and "Avengers: Infinity War." Unfortunately for the latter, its trailer has yet to be released officially. However, there have already been some tidbits that made it online.

A couple of days ago, few screenshots from the "Infinity War" trailer have been leaked, and just recently, fans received a partial description of it, spoiling the location of the last Infinity Stone.

According to reports, the latest leak arrived online courtesy of Redditor TheAscendedAncient. He is hardly the most reliable source, so keep in mind that this should be taken with a grain of salt. However, there is little reason to doubt his intel considering he also shared some clear screenshots from the yet-to-be-unveiled "Infinity War" trailer last week.

According to the leakster, the trailer sees Loki (Tom Hiddleston) handing the Tesseract to Thanos (Josh Brolin) to be spared when the Mad Titan attacks Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) ship. To recall, both parties have crossed paths in the post-credit scene of "Thor: Ragnarok."

Thor, Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), and company take on the Black order, while their ship tries to flee. However, things reportedly go bad, leaving the God of Thunder dangling in space until he is discovered by the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Thanos' army then raids the Collector's (Benicio del Toro) place and the gem is brought to Brolin's character. With the Soul Stone the only gem missing in the Infinity Gauntlet, all the superheroes assemble to protect it, which is apparently inside Heimdall (Idris Elba).

It has not been detailed how the guardian of the Bifrost got his hands on the powerful stone, but the notion of Elba's character possessing the Soul gem is nothing new.

The leading theory about the last Infinity Stone posits it has been entrusted to Heimdall hidden in plain sight, embedded in the chest of his Asgardian armor. This explains his glowing orange eyes and his ability to peer into 7 trillion souls across the Nine Realms.

Despite the convincing evidence, there are still some factors that hold it back. Thor sent the Aether or Reality Stone to the Collector because it was too dangerous to keep two Infinity Stones in Asgard, which already had the Space Stone. In that case, it does not make sense to also have the Soul Stone there; and if Heimdall really had it all along, it is questionable why Thanos did not take it from him during the attack in the Asgardians' ship.

Whatever the case is, fans will not have to wait long to find out. "Avengers: Infinity War" is due in less than six months, on May 4.
