"Banshee" ended Season 4 in classic "Banshee" fashion where they tied up loose ends and managed to open new ones at the end. However, in the Season 4 finale, no one expected what was coming to them.

Lucas Hood and the gang eliminated all of their main enemies in the season, namely Chayton Littlestone and Colonel Douglas Stowe. With that said, they also lost very important people in the season like Siobhan Kelly and Gordon Hopewell.

But at the end of the season finale, an unsuspecting villain rose from the ashes to kidnap Job, leaving Lucas without any trace and clue on how to find him. It is clear that the next season will immediately jump to the plot of trying to locate Job, which will prove to be a challenge since Job does the locating for the team.

Before Season 3 ended, Cinemax already ordered a 4th season of the show consisting of eight episodes. The renewal didn't come as a shock since Season 3 achieved record ratings for the show.

As of April 8, the cast and crew are already back in production. In the official press release, it said:

"Production has begun in Pittsburgh on the fourth season of the Emmy(R)-winning CINEMAX action series BANSHEE, it was announced today by Kary Antholis, president, HBO Miniseries and CINEMAX Programming."

Alongside the regular cast, Eliza Dushku will be a part of Season 4. She will play Agent Veronica Dawson, a recurring character in the season. Deadline described Agent Dawson as "a tough, sexy and shockingly reckless FBI profiler with no shortage of personal demons who joins forces with Hood to hunt down a killer."

Ana Ayora is also joining the cast as Nina Cruz. She will be replacing Siobhan as a Banshee deputy that will work undercover at Proctor's plant. The other actors joining the cast are Chris Coy and Matthew Rauch.

"Banshee" Season 4 is set to premiere sometime in 2016.
