Barcelona recently completed their second treble in six years after winning the Champions League Final and now the club is competing in a race against Real Madrid, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea to signing Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

But according to Barcelona presidential candidate Agusti Benedito, the 22-year-old already spoke to him regarding a possible move at Camp Nuo, ESPN reported.

Barca already added former Sevilla midfielder Aleix Vidal this summer but he would not be allowed to play for the Catalans until January 2016 because of a transfer ban FIFA handed to the club.

Despite the ban, ESPN reported that there is a speculation Barcelona already placed an €80 million offer for the French sensation.

Benedito said in an interview with Catalan station 8TV that he has been in touch with Pogba and Juventus president Andrea Agnelli.

"I made contact with Pogba. First I spoke with Andrea Agnelli and then personally with the player. We were asked for €12 million net per season, and a transfer fee of €80 million," Benedito explained.

But if Barcelona cannot get Pogba to sign with them, they are also targeting PSG midfielder Marco Verratti according to the Daily Mirror.

Barca will likely shift their attention to the 22-year-old if Pogba will be unavailable for them according to the Spanish Press.

Verratti had an impressive showing for PSG playing 32 out of 38 Ligue 1 games and helped the club reach the Champions League quarterfinals in his seven appearances.

Setting aside the club's targets, the Daily Mirror also reported that defenders Martin Montoya, Douglas, Adriano, goalkeeper Jordi Masip and midfielder Gerard Deulofeu might leave the club before the start of next season.

The Mirror reported that Montoya draws interest from Juventus and Inter Milan while Adriano is also being linked to a transfer to Serie A.

Meanwhile, Deulofeu is being linked to a return to Everton after playing for the club on loan in the 2013-14 season.
