Barcelona vs Borussia Monchengladbach live stream: Watch Champions League soccer 2016 online (Preview)

Barcelona will play Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday in a big Champions League encounter from Germany. The game has a scheduled start time of 7.45 p.m. BST (2.45 p.m. ET) and can be watched online through live stream via the link below.

The Spanish giants will be big favorites to win this game, but the German side are on the back of an 11 game winning streak, so they will be in confident mood in front of their home fans today.

On paper there should be only one winner from this game, as the Catalan side has world class players in almost every position on the pitch. But the excellent start to the season for Monchengladbach means this will certainly be a more difficult game than Barcelona had in their first outing in the Champions League this season.

In their first game, Barcelona faced Scottish side Celtic, and completely swept them aside, slicing through their defense almost at will to record a 7-0 victory - Barcelona's largest ever win in the Champions League.

But good news for the German team sees Lionel Messi out for today's game. The world's best player sustained a groin injury in Barca's recent game against Atletico Madrid.

Monchengladbach meanwhile have numerous injuries that will cause concern. Striker Raffael is a doubt ahead of the game as he is suffering a groin strain. On top of that the German side could also have Mamadou Doucoure, Joel Mero, Marvin Schulz, Josip Drmic and Alvaro Domínguez all out injured today.

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has indicated he is not taking today's opposition lightly, labeling the German team as "fearsome" in front of their home fans.

He said, "With the ball, they know what they have to do and they play well. They can hit the wings too, because they have fast players."

Meanwhile, Borussia Monchengladbach boss, Andre Schubert has dismissed any suggestions that Barcelona will be any easier to play just because Messi is missing. He said, "We would have loved to have seen him at the Borussia Park but, even without him, Barça remain a great, great side".
