After the shocking murder that happened during the premiere episode of "Bates Motel" season 4, more events are happening involving the Bates.

During the premiere episode, Norman (Freddie Highmore) killed Emma's (Olivia Cooke) mother Audrey (Karina Logue) without remorse. This could mean that the killings will not end there.

Episode 2, titled "Goodnight, Mother," will feature the growing animosity between Norman and her mother Norma (Vera Farmiga). According to the synopsis, "Norma and Norman face off as each suspect the other of a terrible deed. Dylan considers his future with Emma, Romero makes a choice that will have far-reaching consequences for the Bates family."

This could have something to with Audrey's death, since each of them believes that the other one is responsible for taking the life of Emma's mother. This could have a huge effect on their family, since Norman's half-brother Dylan (Max Thieriot) wants to marry Emma.

The episode will also show that Sheriff Romero (Nestor Carbonell) might be contemplating Norma's marriage proposal during the premiere episode.

In an interview with TVLine, executive producer Kerry Ehrin said that Romero was probably thinking of distancing himself from the woman that he loves after he killed Bob Paris (Kevin Rahm).

"He's probably wondering, 'Oh my God. I just committed murder for this woman. What do I actually mean to her? I need to step back and get control of the situation,'" Ehrin said.

However, Ehrin said that Norma will not give up on Romero, since marrying him will give her an assurance that she and Norman will be protected.

"As you know, Norma is a warrior. [Laughs] When she needs something to happen she'll go after it," the executive producer revealed.

The second episode of "Bates Motel" season 4 will air on Monday, March 14, on A&E.
