"Bates Motel" will be entering season 5, and will be the last for the series. Norman (Freddie Highmore) killed Norma (Vera Farmiga) last season but it does not mean that it was the last for their mother. Norma will be back, for the last time, and will be joined by the Barbadian singer Rihanna, who will portray Marion Crane.

Farmiga revealed that even if Norma is already dead, her character will still play a major role in the final season of "Bates Motel." The upcoming season will be offering more twists and surprises, especially now that she is just a figment of imagination.

The actress also said in an interview with Zap2it, "I think it's going to continue being a playground. That was my biggest fear, she would be minimized. She was so robust, Norma Bates. I had no idea when I signed onto this that I would be singing and dancing and playing piano -- being funny and being absurd. I had no idea that this female characterization embodied all of that."

She then added, "I think there's going to be more liberties and lunacy, given the fact that she is a figment ... a ghost that he's creating."

It was also previously reported that Rihanna will have a major role in season 5 of the "Psycho" inspired series. But no details yet are available at the moment except for her character's name. The "Work" and "Umbrella" hit maker simply said, "I am about to check into the Bates Motel very soon. Guess what else? Guess who's playing Marion?"

Meanwhile, fans are now wondering how Dylan (Max Thieriot) will react to her mother's murder and how will he take the news that Norman was behind the murder. He may already have an idea on who might have done it, but there will surely be repercussions from the tradegy. Norma's husband, Sherriff Romero (Nestor Carbonnel) is also speculated to have a big role in the upcoming season.

"Bates Motel" season 5 is speculated to premiere in March 2017 on A&E.
