Batman and Superman comics: massive changes ahead

Batman: EndgameWikipedia

While everyone is eagerly awaiting word on the Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice film, DC Comics has reportedly made massive changes as far as the comic version for the two DC superheroes are concerned.

For the comic readers, many may be in for a shock at the changes for the versions of the two popular superheroes.

First up is Batman. Readers who were able to follow the Caped Crusader's story, particularly the last edition titled Batman: Endgame.

In Batman: Endgame, Bruce Wayne (Batman) and The Joker perished beneath a mountain of rubble. Time and again we have seen Batman rebound and spring back to action but with the belief that Batman would be dead (for the meantime), Commissioner Gordon will reportedly be taking over to fight crime as Batman.

Jim Gordon will fill in for Batman using a Gotham City-backed robotic Batman suit, less the famous mustache that Gordon has been known to sport. Word on how long Gordon will portray Batman and when the caped crusader would resurrect (unsurprisingly) remains a mystery for now.

With regards to Superman, the world (in the comics) will finally find out that Clark Kent is actually Superman. His identity will be spilled by an unlikely person, Lois Lane and not Lex Luthor or Braniac, the Man of Steel's sworn enemies.

The next Superman issue (Superman #41) will see Kal-El sport a new look, far different (presumably better) if you compare it to previous costumes that Superman has worn from previous issues.

All these changes take place on Batman #41 and Superman #41 so comic readers out there who want to find out how all of these transpired would be wise to get their copy once it comes out.

Will this affect the upcoming Batman or Superman movies? It seems unlikely.

We have seen major changes before and regardless, DC fans still love seeing the original Batman and Superman with the original storylines. Films included!
