The most popular caped superhero is back for the "epic conclusion" of the Arkham trilogy in "Batman: Arkham Knight." Originally planned to be launched in July 2014 during Batman's 75th anniversary, the release date was moved to June 2 next year, and developers guarantee that it will be the date fans will finally get to play as the Caped Crusader.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment will release the last of the trilogy and Rocksteady Studios is its developer. Comic Book Movie states how the developer's return for another definitive game is "one of the most thrilling aspects of the game." The video game was based on DC Comics' "Batman," and it is set to hit PS4, Xbox One and PC next year.

Its creators doubled the usefulness of most weapons in this new video game. Even while gliding, the grapnel can shoot twice, and switching and turning is easy and seamless. With the Batman cape, players can fly over the city. For gaining intel, the caped crusader sports a batarang sensor. Batman can defy enemy attacks with his ability to counter them and, at the same time, divert them to other enemies — perfect for gaining advantage and inflicting greater damage.

Not discounting its part in the trilogy, "Arkham Knight" will retain most game elements from its predecessors such as the detective vision, batarangs, line laucher, grapnel gun, and the countering system.

And no Batman game will be complete without the hero's loyal companion, the Batmobile, and "Arkham Knight" is not an exception. In fact, as Comic Book Movie stated in an article, a playable mechanic involving the now more bad-ass ride is enabled for the game. With Batmobile's two modes — Pursuit and Battle — Rocksteady promises a balanced gameplay with the player feeling powerful and challenged at the same time.

Batman is set to battle a horde of villains in the video game. Players will get into tons of battles with Batman's (and fans') most anticipated (or hated) enemies, including Two-Face (Troy Baker), Riddler (Wally Wingert), Harley Quinn (Tara Strong), Scarecrow, and Penguin (Nolan North). The game also introduces a new wicked face, and Batman will get busy fighting off Gotham City's latest evil disruption in the grim person of the Arkham Knight. The new villain sports a letter A in his chest, an emblem of Arkham Asylum. While he is tagged as someone gamers will see for the first time, speculations that his true face belongs to a rather familiar character makes "Batman: Arkham Knight" even more mysterious and thrilling.

In "Batman: Arkham Knight," Batman's friend and police commissioner James Gordon will return alongside his daughter Barbara with her most demanded alter ego, Oracle.

"Batman: Arkham Knight" will hit stores in June 2, 2015.
