The latest details about the highly-awaited downloadable content prequel for "Batman: Arkham Knight" have been unveiled. Rocksteady Studios made the announcement about the "Harley Quinn" DLC via Amazon, where the content plot and release details were presented.
According to the Amazon listing, "For the first time in the Arkham series take on the role of Joker's psychotic side-kick Harley Quinn and wreak havoc inside the Blüdhaven Police Department. With this exclusive Story Pack experience events in the lead-up to Arkham Knight as you infiltrate Blüdhaven to rescue your partner in crime: Poison Ivy. Delve deep into Harley's demented nature and utilize her devastating baseball bat to smash, crash and bash your way to a friend very much in need."
Based on the post, the events that are featured in the soon-to-be released downloadable content take place before the explosive events that happen in "Arkham Knight." The new DLC will also be the first one that will feature a setting outside the usual areas of Gotham City, since it will be held in Blüdhaven.
The setting was first mentioned in the Nightwing arc of the "Batman" comics series, thus it could be safe to expect that the Caped Crusader's former crime-fighting partner will also featured in the new DLC.
The "Harley Quinn" downloadable content pack was first announced by the game developer in July last year, and it will reportedly include four challenge maps that will let players take on the role of the sinister villain. The players can also use all her signature moves, gadgets, weapons, and abilities all throughout the game.
Meanwhile, Rocksteady reported last week that they decided to postpone the release date of the concluding game in the "Arkham" series for another three weeks. Details are scarce about the new development, but "Batman: Arkham Knight" is now expected to be released on June 23.
