'Batman: Arkham Knight' news: New glitch lets players free-roam as any character

When the final chapter for the "Batman: Arkham" series was launched, the title had so many issues and bugs -– particularly the PC version –- that publisher Warner Bros. Interactive was forced to take the game momentarily off the shelf, re-releasing the PC version months after.

Meanwhile, it seems that not all concerns were ironed out of the version of "Batman: Arkham Knight," as another glitch was discovered.

According to Design & Trend, the latest glitch now allows players of "Batman: Arkham Knight" on the PS4 and Xbox One consoles to freely roam Gotham City and other locations in the game. While this feature was already present when the game launched, the bug lets free-roaming with any in-game character.

The industry follower said that based on what players call the "cover corner glitch," gamers can check out their immediate vicinities either as Bat Girl, Night Wing, Red Hood, and more.

This is considered to be a game issue since normally, only Batman can free-roam around the area, noted Gaming Bolt. Although there are other protagonists in "Batman: Arkham Knight," the characters are locked from exploring the city and can only be maneuvered around parts relevant to their current missions.

As for the glitch, IB Times reported that the bug can be activated by first using a projectile weapon that can be equipped by the chosen character, like Shuriken for Robin or a Flash Bang grenade for Red Hood. Aiming and trying to throw the weapon, the player will need to stop the movement by pressing square (PS4) or X (Xbox One) to cancel the command.

Meanwhile, before the crouching movement is completed, the player needs to revert to aiming using the analog stick and try to throw the weapon again. If the sequence is timed right, the character the player is currently using will be able to glide across blue walls and other obstacles and will be transported to a different location in the city.
