The long wait is finally over, as the personal computer (PC) version of "Batman: Arkham Knight" is set to make its hopefully triumphant return.

The PC version of the game is officially scheduled to come back to Steam starting Oct. 28.

As fans might remember, "Batman: Arkham Knight" was originally launched back in June. At the start, the console ports of the game presented no problems, but its PC version proved too problematic and riddled with bugs. 

Due to the problems, Warner Bros. decided to issue an apology for the troubled released of "Batman: Arkham Knight" on the PC, and they decided to just remove it from Store merely days after its initial launch, Polygon reported.

Fans who were able to already purchase the PC version of "Batman: Arkham Knight" later received a patch that allowed the game to be playable, although even by then, it had still not made its way back to Steam.

With the PC version of "Batman: Arkham Knight" finally scheduled to return this week, players can look forward to catching up on all the action they have missed out on.

The good news is that players will not have to wait long to get caught up, as they will be getting immediate access to the new content that has been released since the game's original launch.

According to Gamespot, fans who have already purchased the downloadable content (DLC) for the PC version of the game will immediately be able to try out all the new content, save for the ones that are exclusive to consoles.

This means that content such as AR challenges, Batmobile race tracks, different versions of the Batmobile, special skins, and even story packs will be accessible right away, according to a listing for the game on Steam.

Big Head mode, Photo mode, and various other goodies will also be coming to the PC version of "Batman: Arkham Knight" right away.
