A patch for the personal computer (PC) version of "Batman: Arkham Knight" is reportedly coming out; the bad news is that the new update is not expected to arrive for at least a few weeks

On top of the patch itself still not due out for a few weeks, this particular update was actually initially expected to arrive in August.

Another aspect of the upcoming patch that is starting to cause some concern, according to IGN, is that it has been termed as the "first interim patch" for the PC version of "Batman: Arkham Knight."

Prior to that little tidbit about the patch, it was earlier assumed that the upcoming update for the PC version of "Batman: Arkham Knight" would be the only one coming out ahead of the actual fixes being applied to the game; but such no longer appears to be the case.

The interim patch is also still in the testing phase, according to PC Gamer. What this means is that it is there is still no complete assurance that the interim patch will indeed be out in a few weeks, especially if developers encounter problems along the way.

As for what players may expect from the upcoming patch, there will be a good amount of fixes apparently coming to the game.

The patch will be addressing the frame rate hitches that have been problematic for the game right from the get go. It will also be fixing how the game utilizes system memory so as to ensure that the entire process is running as efficiently as possible.

There are also fixes being worked on for the PC version of "Batman: Arkham Knight" that will be designed to address some of the texture and mouse usage issues that are already present in the game.
