The numerous problems plaguing the PC version of "Batman: Arkham Knight" were reportedly known many months ahead of its release.

Warner Bros. Interactive, the game's publisher, reportedly knew of the problems early on but still chose to move forward with the release of the game and chose to pay more attention to the game's console versions, according to Gamespot.

Word of Warner Bros. knowing of the problems beforehand comes from anonymous sources reportedly close to the development process of "Batman: Arkham Knight." The sources initially spoke to Kotaku, and one of them claims to be a quality assurance tester for the game.

The sources say the problems are similar to what they were nearly a year before the game itself was initially released. They say Warner Bros. Interactive has not been proactive in fixing the problems, even though they surfaced early on in the process.

The sources add that the game's developer is also at fault for the problems of the game's PC version, according to PC Gamer. The sources accuse Rocksteady Studios of devoting its energies to the game's console versions, with Iron Galaxy taking its place in the development process for the PC port of "Batman: Arkham Knight". Rocksteady Studios reportedly only began work on the PC port after it became clear that it was going to be plagued with problems.

Early on in the development process, Rocksteady Studios already admitted that problems were popping up as they attempted to make the game compatible with both the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, causing "Batman: Arkham Knight" to be delayed. Currently, the PC version of "Batman: Arkham Knight" is not for sale as the problems are being ironed out.

"Batman: Arkham Knight" is a 2015 action-adventure video game developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One video game consoles, as well as for Microsoft Windows.

Based on the DC Comics superhero Batman, it is the successor to Warner Bros. Games MontrĂ©al's 2013 video game Batman: Arkham Origins, and the fourth main installment in the Batman: Arkham series. "Batman: Arkham Knight" was released worldwide on June 23, 2015.
