The wait for gamers who have been twiddling their thumbs for "Batman" Arkham Knight" to land on PC could finally be over this month. That's four long months from the original release. Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, the game's publisher, announced on Steam that the team is working hard to have the game available this October.

The title, which serves to put a lid on the Arkham saga, was released on the PC with both graphic and performance hiccups. The issues turned out to be so huge that the sales for the game had to be indefinitely ceased, forcing the publisher to haul out copies from retailers and Steam.

"As many of you know, we released a major patch for 'Batman: Arkham Knight' PC a few weeks ago. While there were significant performance improvements made to the game, the teams are continuing to work on the additional updates that were outlined in our previous post," the post read.

"We expect these updates to be ready at the end of October, at which time the PC version will be made available for purchase. In addition, support for all DLC that has been released for the console versions will be in place," it continued.

Warner Bros apologized for the mishap soon after complaints about the game exploded. It promised to fix "Batman: Arkham Knight" for PC and re-release it when the bugs have been taken out and every aspect of the title is flawless enough for PC gamers to immerse into.

The PC version was launched alongside the console versions back in June. Since then, a crop of expansion packs and additional content for Xbox One and PS4 players have been made available. The DLCs is expected to be released to the PC after the game is successfully relaunched this month.

Meanwhile, new-gen console players will be treated soon to a Catwoman's Revenge DLC, which has the heroine coming for Riddler. It will drop on the PC version too if it's already available when the DLC comes out.
