One of the most-anticipated game titles for this year was released this week, and many fans observed that the launch was not as smooth as anticipated. 

The release of "Batman: Arkham Knight" last Tuesday went off without a hitch for its current-gen console versions. However, hours after the launch, fans of the series who downloaded the PC version flocked to forums and threads online to share their regrets. 

According to reports, most of the gamers' complaints have to do with the bugs and glitches that surface once the game loads, particularly on the graphics. Technical issues include frame rate jumps and stutters, cut scene and gameplay freezes, and even audio glitches. Observers said that majority of users who encountered the glitches are those using AMD graphics cards, prompting the game's publisher Warner Bros. Interactive to adjust its system requirements for the game and warning players about AMD compatibility issues. 

Although it has already been reported that the release of "Batman Arkham Knight" will come with a major day one patch, the update evidently did not address the PC version issues. For example, hours after the title went online on Steam, disappointed downloaders left negative and sometimes scathing comments criticizing the game. The title also quickly dropped off the page for top downloads at the Steam Store. 

Developer Rocksteady Games has already released a statement regarding the matter. 

In a post on its official forum, the developer stated, "We're aware that some users are reporting performance issues with the PC version of 'Batman: Arkham Knight'. This is something that Rocksteady takes very seriously. We are working closely with our external PC development partner to make sure these issues get resolved as quickly as possible." 

Console players, meanwhile, seem satisfied with their version, as most of the issues reported only focus on the PC edition.
