"Batman: Return To Arkham" was originally scheduled to be released by the end of the month. However, in a surprising announcement, the release was cancelled with no final release date mentioned. Now, fans are speculating that it may arrive by November.

The upcoming game is a remastered collection of Rocksteady's "Batman: Arkham Asylum" and "Batman: Arkham City," set to be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. All their DLC will also be included in the package. It was initially scheduled to launch by July 31, Eurogamer reported.

Warner Bros. then issued a statement about its delay before the month of June ended. It stated, "After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuous Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience."

Several sources are now stating that the collection may arrive by November at the earliest. Some are even speculating that the collection may not arrive this year, but by early 2017. These sources, according to the publication, point to the frame-rate issue as the major cause of the hold-up. The project was outsourced to a Chinese game developer called Virtuous Games, and Rocksteady does not want to happen again the issue when they launched the PC version of "Batman: Arkham knight," which was a disaster.

The publication also directly contacted Warner Bros. to clarify the issue and the company responded with the same statement as with the previous announcement.

The spokesperson from the publisher cannot offer an exact release date either, but mentioned that the extra time will allow them to refine the game even further to provide a great gaming experience to its loyal fans.

"Batman: Return To Arkham" is set to arrive for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
