While all the previous games made by Telltale are known for its single player, game-changing decision making mechanics, the new "Batman: The Telltale Series" will let other people help make these decisions with the player.

According to Game Rant, Job Stauffer, head of the creative communications of Telltale Games, has confirmed that this multiplayer mode, called the Crowd Play mode, will give the players the ability to let other players to essentially join in and aid them in making decisions.

There will be two modes available for this feature, with the former letting viewers to decide and the latter just letting them voice out their opinion. Once this feature is enabled, a URL will be shared, which other people can use to enter the game and participate. The viewers can also react to the decision players made, either with a thumbs up or a thumbs down. The player can see how many viewers voted for a specific option in the decision made for that specific situation.

This might sound to be an ideal for this game, but according to Game Spot, Stauffer said that up to 2,000 people can now aid the player in their decision-making, making this game more of a live interactive multiplayer experience. However, he did admit that this may result in some latency issues. However, if Telltale is able to have these issues fixed before the game is released, this new feature can prove to be interesting indeed.

This Crowd Play mode was revealed at the San Diego Comic Con, with some of the developers as well as Troy Baker, a voice actor, and an internet personality, Greg Miller, played the game's first episode in a massive crowd play event.

"Batman: the Telltale Series" will be released digitally on Aug. 2 and on Sept. 13 for those who want a physical copy for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 as well as the iOS and Android devices.
