'Batman vs Superman' movie spoilers: Doomsday to wreak havoc in film?

A new scoop about the hotly-anticipated DC Comics adaptation "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" has arrived and it is a big one, literally. Apparently, a big bad deadly brute in the form of Doomsday, who is inclined to live by his intimidating name, will crash the film.

Hollywood tipster Umberto Gonzalez revealed during the recent Shanlian on Batman podcast that the mega powerful monster will be one of the many troubles the Man of Steel will face, and this worries comic book fans.

[Potential spoilers] This is because in the comics, Doomsday was responsible for Superman's death, thus making him a central character in the "Death of Superman" comic book. It is important to note, though, that Doomsday met his own demise in the hands of his enemy before the destructive battle concluded.

However, despite Doomsday's ability to deliver the denotation of his name to his foes, Lex Luthor is still the major baddie in the movie. The "multi, multi billionaire," as writer David Goyer described the character, is the only officially confirmed villain to show up in the movie, at least for now.

This does not mean that Doomsday will be at the sidelines. The unassailable re-spawning behemoth will be the clout in "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice," as Cinema Blend pointed out. Besides, his "incredible" live-action depiction, as Gonzalez described, is made to be shown off.

Notably, Doomsday's known strength does not mean that he would kill the Kryptonian in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." There are more DC Comics-inspired movies in the pipeline that needs the superhero, so if he will have a throwdown with the brute, Superman will probably turn out fine.

It is a different story with Lex Luthor though.

"He's not any of the Lexes that you've seen, that's for sure, other than him being a captain of industry and one person to the world and another person to himself," director Zack Snyder told Entertainment Weekly. "And bald, of course. Our Lex is disarming and he's not fake. He says what he believes and he says what's on his mind. If you can unravel the string and decipher what he means, it's all there."

The ultimate showdown begins on March 25, 2016, when "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits the silver screen.
