With about nine-months to go before fans can see what kind of rendition Zack Snyder has come up with, plot details have reportedly been revealed which in a way does not really come as a surprise.

Especially for folks who have been long seen the animated versions, hearing that a real evil would arise as two superheroes slug it out and determine what kind of superhero the world really needs. And as the two try to settle the score, the world is left in jeopardy with no specific hero at the forefront.

The evil is termed as a "new threat" and will most likely be tied up with Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) though he may not be the only villain that the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel may have to deal with.

Could there be more enemies and an alliance of sorts forthcoming? Remember the patented Legion of Doom from the Justice League animated series? Anyone from that group could appear though much of that may be reserved for the Justice League film/s.

Whatever that threat is, it is expected to be huge. So you have to wonder, how does Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) fit into all this?

Though it is not clear on how heavy their appearance would be, it remains to be seen if their presence would be somehow needed when the world is left unguarded by the two warring heroes at least until they get back to their senses. Or would Diana and Arthur have any part of that at all.

The new threat is the new revelation for the film though it does seem a bit broad for now. Expect more clues to come out in the remaining months before the film finally hits theaters.

Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits the big screen on March 25, 2016.
