'Batman vs Superman' plot spoilers: Marvel Comics creator Stan Lee picks a side

Warner Bros.

Comic book veteran and Marvel Comics creator Stan Lee has a pretty good idea on who will emerge as the winner in the battle between the Caped Crusader and the Man of Steel in the highly-anticipated DC Comics adaptation "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

"Oh, Superman," he told Boston Herald. "He's indestructible, he can do anything. And Batman relies on a few weapons. If this is real, a fight between Superman and Batman, there's no way you'd bet on Batman."

When asked about Ben Affleck portraying the role of the Dark Knight and if the actor could affect the odds of Batman winning, Lee said, "Well, I like Ben Affleck. If they get Mortimer Snerd to play Superman, maybe Affleck would have a chance."

Although he seemed to be very adamant in picking Superman's side, he did confess that the respective creators of two of the most popular comic book superheroes in question made it hard for him to decide.

"The creator of Batman, Bob Kane, was a good friend of mine, so he'd be unhappy with me saying that. But at the same time, Jerry Siegel, one of the creators of Superman, worked for me for a while. So I feel I have divided loyalties," he explained.

In other related news, there are reports that director Zack Snyder posted a mysterious photo on his private Instagram account that allegedly showed Affleck as Bruce Wayne as he was walking through a field to the abandoned Wayne Manor. Batman News, which shared the photo, believes that it is legitimate since Snyder posts photos from the movie. Apart from that, the image also resembles a scene from the trailer.
