"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" may have been met with negative reviews and a box office result that did not manage to hit the goals of Warner Bros. Pictures but it did come with a lot of Easter eggs of what is yet to come. One of the most obvious clues was the existence of Robin and now there is a new clue hinting at Robin's identity.

The Instagram account for "Batman v Superman" released a photo from the film, focusing on the still where Bruce Wayne aka Batman (Ben Affleck) stares at the Robin suit encased in glass. The photo's caption is from a line of a dialogue taken directly from the film, "Twenty years in Gotham, how many good guys are left?"

However, the Easter egg comes with the date that the photo was posted. Some fans noticed that the photo was uploaded on April 27, the same date that Jason Todd was killed off in the comic books back in 1985. This hints that the identity of this Robin could be Jason Todd.

As stated in a report from Cinema Blend, Jason Todd did not stay dead for long as he was later resurrected but had gone mad and become a more violent vigilante known as the Red Hood, a character willing to kill in order to stop crime. It is also speculated that this insanity and violence are what Bruce Wayne is referring to in his line of dialogue.

It is widely speculated that the upcoming solo "Batman" movie will focus on the Red Hood story arc, showcasing the Red Hood attempting to take down both Batman and Joker (Jared Leto). In the comics, Todd wanted to kill Joker to attain vengeance and to kill Batman because the latter did not kill Joker when Todd initially died.

It was previously assumed that the suit, covered in grafiti from the Joker, was just a reminder of Batman's failure to save Robin but it now gives a better clue as to what the future films will focus on and hints that Todd may still be out in the DCEU as the Red Hood.
